Vitangcol to file perjury raps vs Czech ambassador

MANILA -- MRT General Manager Al Vitangol says he will file perjury charges against Czech Ambassador Josef Rhyctar for linking him to an extortion attempt. Vitancol claims Rhyctar spread false testimony after the ambassador accused him of sending an emissary to extort 30 million dollars from a Czech train manufacturer in exchange for a contract to supply additional coaches. He adds the ambassador should have been more responsible with his statements and should have verified the alleged emissary with him. Rhyctar is also facing libel charges filed by a former MRT contractor after he dragged the company's name into the controversy. ANC Dateline Philippines, April 23, 2014
