Former Senator and career diplomat Leticia Ramos-Shahani says the Philippines should learn to stand up to China's bullying even without help from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or the United Nations. Shahani points out although the UN is for the rule of law,it is still a very political body with China as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
