WATCH: Napoles arrives at Camp Crame

A tightly guarded Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged mastermind in the P10 billion pork barrel scam, arrived at the Philippine National Police General Hospital in Quezon City on Wednesday morning for a check-up. The PNP said it had to secure the transfer from Fort Sto. Domingo in Santa Rosa, Laguna to Camp Crame in light of possible threats to the businesswoman's life. Napoles is set to undergo an transvaginal ultrasound examination and blood testing after she experienced abnormal vaginal bleeding. Napoles earlier requested to have her check up at St. Luke's Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City but that was denied by the court. The PNP said government will shoulder the cost of her exam. Napoles is detained at the Special Action Forces (SAF) facility in Fort Sto. Domingo for a serious illegal detention charge filed by whistle-blower Benhur Luy. She is also facing plunder charges before the Office of the Ombudsman for in connection with the pork barrel scam. - Mornings@ANC, 26 February 2014
