Three inmates attempted to escape and take hostage detained former Sen. Leila De Lima at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame today at 6:30 a.m.

Three hostage-takers, Feliciano Sulayao Jr., Arnel Cabintoy, and Idang Susukan, are dead. The PNP initiates an immediate in-depth investigation regarding the incident. Meanwhile, reports say that De Lima is now safe. This is a developing story.
