A toned down celebration of the anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution was held at the People Power Monument in Quezon City on Tuesday, as the main celebration of the historic uprising took place in Cebu. A flower offering and a pledge of allegiance to the Philippine flag were led by Vice President Jejomar Binay and former president Fidel V. Ramos. An ecumenical prayer led by Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual, Bishop Efraim Tendero of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches, and Imam Ustadz Yusoph Dapi was also held. Among the attendees of the anniversary rites at the monument were members of the Yellow Ribbon Movement, August 21 Movement, and employees of the Quezon City and Makati City governments. – report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
