UST beats La Salle to take Game 1

MANILA, Philippines – The UST Growling Tigers continued their stunning late-season resurgence, as they outlasted the De La Salle Green Archers, 73-72, to take Game 1 of the UAAP Season 76 Finals. The fourth-seeded Tigers squandered a double-digit lead as the Archers clawed their way back in the game in the second quarter. Clutch shots by Jeric Teng and Kevin Ferrer, plus a defensive gem by Karim Abdul in the final possession, allowed UST to pull out the victory.
