MANILA - Sen. Nancy Binay on Thursday grilled whistle-blower Benhur Luy during the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee inquiry on the pork barrel scam. In his testimony, Luy said the Kaupdanan para sa Mangunguma Foundation continued to transact with the Department of Agriculture until his incarceration in 2012. He said the foundation had ongoing transactions with local government units. Luy is accusing businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles of putting up fake NGOs to act as conduits of lawmakers' pork barrel funds. Binay also asked the Senate Blue Ribbon committee to issue a subpoena duces tecum for documents from DBM pertaining to the release of P69.269 billion released to DPWH for various infra proiects from 2007-2009, which could not be accounted for specific legislators.
