MANILA - A resident of Taguig on Wednesday appealed for help after being trapped inside her home for the past 4 days. Carmen Madera, a resident of Saint Michael Subdivision, said their subdivision has been affected by knee-high to waist-high floods for the past couple of days. "Hindi na po kami makapunta sa evacuation centers dahil puno na ho kaya nagtitiis na lang kami sa bahay. Na-trap na ho kami sa lalim (ng baha)," she said in an ANC interview. Madera said the flood in their subdivision today is higher than the one during tropical storm Ondoy in 2009, and the flood during last year's monsoon rains. She said stores in the subdivision have not been reopened since storeowners are keeping the goods for themselves. Relief goods distributed in their area will only last a day, she added.
