Pub-goers stranded in beer garden by tidal flooding in west London

Pub-goers in west London were not going to let some flooding stop them enjoying a beer garden on Sunday (1 September).

Parts of the Twickenham area are prone to seasonal flooding. When water levels in the river Thames are high, the area's high tides can add to that, leading to rivers bursting their banks in the area of the White Horse pub.

Cars were left submerged while residents struggled to cross roads. Pints still made it to the beer garden though - delivered by people in rubber boots!
