As a follow up to that report,... U.S. President Donald Trump says China is now ready to return to the negotiating table and the two countries will resume trade talks soon.
He told reporters at the G7 summit in France on Monday that Chinese officials called America's top trade officials twice overnight to deliver the message.
Trump praised Chinese President Xi Jinping for making the positive move and said the phone calls were "very good and productive".
