The U.S. has again voiced its concerns over South Korea's decision to pull out of its military intelligence-sharing pact with Japan last week.
State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus tweeted on Sunday that the U.S. is "deeply disappointed and concerned"... that Seoul terminated the GSOMIA agreement with Tokyo.
She also said Seoul's decision will undermine South Korea's state of defense readiness and increase the risk to U.S. forces.
Last week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary Mark Esper expressed similar sentiment over Seoul's decision.
