Japan's Self-Defense Forces hold massive drill focused on guarding its islands

And in an apparent show of force,.... Japan's Self-Defense Forces held a major drill on Sunday.
Tokyo-based NHK and Kyodo News Agency reported that,.... some 24-hundred Self Defense members,... 80 tanks armored vehicles,.... as well as aircraft took part in the two-hour drill.
The exercise is said to have focused on checking land forces' island defense capabilities.
It came on the same day that South Korea began its bi-annual maritime drills for the defense of Dokdo.
