South Korea's finance ministry believes the country has the ability to cushion itself from external shocks as global uncertainties grow.
In a finance meeting with related institutions today,... Vice Minister Kim Yong-beom said,.. South Korea has the economic resilience to fight off various economic risks and that it's important to deal with the current situations in a calm and rational manner,...amid the U.S.-China trade conflict and Japan's export curbs.
Kim said,... the world is seeing more investments in safe havens,... a decline in major stock markets,... and lower yields on bonds.
He added that despite all the uncertainties,.... the country has maintained a good credit rating and strong foreign exchange reserves.
