Villagers in Odisha’s Jajpur district were in for a rude shock after they found a strange object rearing out of an agricultural field. Moving to have a closer look, they found a baby girl who had been buried alive in Shyamsundarpur village. The newborn, wrapped in a blue piece of fabric, was first rushed to a community health center and later shifted to a government hospital where her condition is said to be stable.
