Poor scale an issue under FAME-II, says Sohinder Gill of Hero Electric

Hero Electric has launched its first FAME-II compliant electric scooters -- The Optima ER and NYX ER. Both scooters are competitively priced just below Rs 70,000 ex-showroom. Hero claims the scooter batteries can be charged 100 percent in just four hours and will give a range of more than 100 kms per charge. CNBC-TV18's Mugdha Variyar spoke with Sohinder Gill, CEO of Hero Electric to understand about the challenges that remain under the FAME-II scheme.
