Rallies in support of the Hong Kong democracy movement and in support of China were held in more than a dozen cities over the weekend of August 17 and August 18. Extradition law demonstrations took place in Adelaide, Berlin, Brisbane, Copenhagen, London, Melbourne, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Sydney, Taiwan, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington and other cities.
