HOLLYWOOD – Long-running American reality TV series "Survivor" has been filmed in many locations all over the world but for some cast members, the Philippines will always be special. The Emmy award-winning series is still one of the most popular shows in the United States. The cast of "Survivor" seasons 25 and 26 played their respective games in the picturesque islands of Camarines Sur. "It was a little distracting, beautiful beaches. All I want to do is have a little fun and drink a cocktail, but unfortunately I couldn't do that," said contestant Peter Yurkowski. Yurkowski said he will definitely come back to the Philippines in the future to surf. Meanwhile, contestant Phillip Sheppard shared how the Philippine environment helped him in the game. “Actually, it was a blessing for me. It was a beautiful environment. We were able to find food, clams and things like that in the water. We had an abundance of coconuts, all we could have or want," said Sheppart. Although they faced harsh challenges during the shoot, they said the natural beauty of the islands and the Filipino friends they met while shooting made surviving in the game a bit less difficult. "Beautiful country. People are wonderful. The islands are amazing. I had the time of my life,” said another contestant Abi Maria Gomes. They also have a message for the country and their Filipino fans. "Thank you Philippines. You gave me a great experience, life-changing experience. I could never repay the country enough for that," said Yurkowski As for Sheppard, he said: “I'm very, very grateful to have that opportunity to have that fan base who loves me over there. Thank you so much, guys, I really appreciate it." Season 27 of "Survivor" is currently shooting in Palaui Island, Cagayan -- the third time that its producers chose the Philippines to film the show.
