Pres. Moon invites independence patriots for luncheon at Cheong Wa Dae

President Moon Jae-in is holding a luncheon with patriots and independence fighters at the Blue House today.
It will be attended by some 160 people,... mostly independence patriots and their relatives from Korea and six other countries, including the U.S., China, and France.
The luncheon comes ahead of National Liberation Day on Thursday,... which commemorates the end of Japan's colonial rule over Korea.
In his message, President Moon is expected to thank the patriots for their devotion and sacrifice,... while reiterating the government's determination to respond strongly to Japan's economic retaliation.
