Residents from Tejeda village were evacuated as a wildfire burns in Gran Canaria

A wildfire spread close to a National Park and to an area popular with holidaymakers on the Canary Island of Gran Canaria. 1,000 hectares have burned and forced for precaution the evacuation of local residents from their homes.
