The New York Post has reported on the insensitive jokes U.S. President Donald Trump made during a recent fundraising event for his re-election,... which included one on defense cost sharing with South Korea.
With the event taking place at the Hamptons last Friday,... Trump told the story of him going as a boy to collect rent checks with his father,... adding it was (quote) easier to get a billion dollars from South Korea,... than to get one-hundred-14-dollars and 13-cents from a rent-controlled apartment in Brooklyn."
Trump added South Korea has a thriving economy so it's Seoul that needs to play for the defense costs.
