The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on Thursday that four major royal palaces and Jongmyo shrine in Seoul... and royal tombs around the country will open to the public free of charge from August 10th to 25th.
That's in celebration of the 74th anniversary of National Liberation Day on August 15th and also to revitalize local tourism as the relationship between Japan and Korea deteriorates.
During the 16 day period, visitors can also visit Deoksugung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace at night for free.
