위안부 피해 할머니 별세…생존자 20명으로 줄어

Another Korean victim of Japan's wartime sex slavery has died having never gotten a sincere apology from Japan.
An NGO that supports the women said Sunday that one of the elderly women, whose name was not disclosed,... passed away Sunday morning.
The number of registered survivors in Korea is now just 20.
In 2015, Seoul and Tokyo sought to resolve Japan's sexual enslavement of Korean women during World War Two by establishing a foundation with a fund from Japan to help the victims.
But the agreement was not made with the consent of the women themselves, and the foundation was disbanded last year.
