And for an expert analysis on Tokyo's decision to remove South Korea from its whitelist... Dr. Song Se-ryeon, law professor at Kyung Hee University joins me in the studio today.
Hello professor.

Hello.

1- So what we worried about the most ended up happening.
Japan has decided to take South Korea off of its list of countries that enjoy preferential trade relations with Japan.
What happens from here on out?

2- With South Korea being the only Asian country on the 27-member whitelist,... what impact will such a decision have on the South Korean economy which has already been hit by Japan's export curbs?

3- What role could the U.S. play in order to mediate between Seoul and Tokyo regarding the matter during a trilateral foreign ministers' meeting in Thailand later today?

4- As trade tensions escalate between South Korea and Japan,... how would such tensions ripple across the global tech sector and supply chains.... which are already rattled by the U.S.-China trade war?

Thank you so much for your insight today.

My pleasure.
