You'll Need:
For the skewers:
- 1 lb ground meat
- 1 tsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- salt, pepper and paprika
- 1 pineapple
- 1¼ lb grilling cheese (e.g. halloumi)
- 3 red peppers
- 3 yellow peppers
- 3 green peppers
- 1½ lb sausages
- 2½ lb beef steak
For the cheese dip:
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 lime
- salt and pepper
For the ketchup dip:
- 6 oz ketchup
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rosemary
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chili powder
You'll also need:
- 2 square springform baking pans of the same size
- plastic wrap
- long skewers
Here's How:
1. Remove the base from the first baking pan and place the remaining frame on top of the second one. Stabilize the tower by wrapping plastic wrap around it on the outside. Cut away any excess plastic wrap at the top.
2. Mix the ground meat with mustard and ketchup. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.
3. Peel the pineapple so that it forms a cuboid shape and cut it into thick slices.
4. Cut the grilling cheese and sausages into thick slices. Remove the core from the peppers and cut them into large pieces.
Tip: To make the veggies more tasty, fry them in oil and leave them to cool.
5. Cover the base of the baking pan tower with beef steaks.
6. Place the yellow peppers on top of the steaks, followed by the sausage pieces. Next, add a layer of green peppers.
7. Cover the green peppers with the ground meat. Place the grilling cheese on top of the meat before adding a layer of red peppers.
8. Add the rest of the sausage pieces on top of the red peppers and then cover them with the pineapple. To finish, place the rest of the beef steaks on top.
9. Stick skewers into the baking pan at regular intervals. Place everything in the freezer for an hour.
Tip: Before using them, leave the skewers in water overnight. This will help the skewers slide through the different layers more easily and prevent them from catching fire on the grill later.
10. Remove the plastic wrap and loosen both pans. Next, carefully cut the skewers into individual portions.
11. Grill the skewers for at least 10 minutes. They will then go perfectly with the ketchup or cheese dip. To make the dips, simply the mix the ingredients specified above.
These fully loaded skewers are sure to be a winner at your next barbecue party. You can also substitute ingredients depending on the theme or your guests' tastes.
