Footage shows the damage caused by a storm which tore down trees and power lines in southern Thailand on July 22.

The storm battered the city of Hat Yai in Songkhla province bringing torrential rain and powerful gusts just after 3pm in the afternoon.

Trees were blown over which pulled down power lines, with several concrete posts landing on vehicles.

Nobody was injured in the monsoon rainy season storm but locals were left without power and officials were today cleaning away the damage.

The rainy season starts at the end of May and lasts until late September, bringing regular heavy rain.
