"Foolish and hopeless" is what Bloomberg is calling the trade war that Tokyo launched against Seoul.
In an editorial Monday,... the agency wrote that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is abusing trade policy, that the country is clearly retaliating against South Korea for its court rulings ordering Japanese firms to compensate the victims of wartime forced labor.
Boomberg described such move as hypocritical as the PM has been praised for strengthening the international trade order.
Through the export curbs, Japanese suppliers will lose market share as well as their reputation for reliability... and that Tokyo should make the the first move in lifting the measures.
