Chandrayaan-2 Mission: India creates History

India's indigenous moon mission, was successfully launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh today.A week after the Chandrayaan-2 lift-off was aborted due to a technical snag, Indian Space Research Organisation launched India's second mission to the Moon at 2.43 pm today .Chandrayaan-2, which will go the Moon's south-polar region, aims to explore its surface for the signs of water and possibly new origins of energy.It's A historic moment for india as It will be the first Indian expedition to attempt a soft landing on the lunar surface. Also The 978-crore rs Moon mission will make India the fourth country after the US, Russia and China to carry out a soft landing on the Moon.
