Election Commission (EC) chairman Azhar Azizan Harun said the enforcement of the historic Bill to lower the voting age from 21 to 18 may take several years to be implemented as there will many things need to be revised, not just the electoral roll.

The EC chairman added that the commission has to establish a new system that allows automatic registration, and for this, they need data from the National Registration Department, the Prisons Department and the Health Ministry.
