Zuraida disappointed with party's direction

Zuraida Kamaruddin says it is up to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim to mend the growing rift in the party over the recent sex video scandal implicating his deputy Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Her call comes after a group of 26 PKR leaders and lawmakers pledged their support for Azmin, and called on Anwar to stop issuing remarks that could split the party.

When met at the lobby of Parliament, the PKR vice-president – among those who signed the joint statement – said it is up to Anwar to take the next step so that the party could "move on."

If Anwar is sincere and takes the first step, Zuraida added, the other side is willing to talk and see how their differences can be overcome.
