The Federal Reserve says the U.S. economy is continuing to grow at a "modest" rate,... and the overall outlook has been "generally positive" despite the recent disruptions caused by U.S. trade policy.
In a report Wednesday,... the Fed said employment continues to expand,... and "labor markets remain tight, with contacts across the country experiencing difficulties filling open positions."
The report described an optimistic economy,... ahead of a meeting at the end of this month,... where the Fed is widely expected to cut interest rates.
