South Korea's trade ministry has decided to allow electric scooters on bike lanes. The revised rule takes effect in designated areas in Hwaseong and Dongtan in Gyeonggi-do Province. Previously, electric scooters were only allowed on roads as they were classified as two-wheeled motor vehicles like motorcycles.
