The U.S. State Department says there are no plans for American diplomats, while they're in Europe this week, to meet with officials from North Korea.
There had been speculation about a meeting... with the U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, in Brussels and Berlin this week... and the fact that the leaders of the North and the U.S. agreed at the DMZ just recently to resume talks on denuclearization.
But a State Department official told South Korea's Yonhap News Agency that... there are no plans for such a meeting.
Biegun is expected to visit NATO headquarters in Brussels on Tuesday... and speak to officials about ways to resolve the North Korea nuclear issue.
He'll also meet his South Korean counterpart Lee Do-hoon and European officials on that issue as well.
