Hadi backs automatic voter registration because 'people are lazy'

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has backed the implementation of automatic voter registration (AVR) because he believes Malaysians are lazy to do it themselves.

BN, PAS and GPS lawmakers have indicated that they would support the government's effort to lower the voting age, on the condition that this is done via automatic voter registration.
