Sentenced to Life for
Deadly Car Attack James Alex Fields Jr. drove his car
into a crowd of counterprotestors
during the 2017 "Unite the Right"
rally in Charlottesville, VA. Dozens of people were
injured in the attack, and
one person, 32 year-old
Heather Heyer, was killed. Charged with dozens of
federal hate crimes, Fields
will spend the rest of
his life behind bars. Fields reportedly has
a history of anti-Semitic
and racist behavior. According to prosecutors,
he has shown no remorse
for what has been labeled
a terror attack. Fields also faces
state charges that
include first-degree murder. The 22-year-old
will be sentenced for
those charges on July 15.
