Beats 1 also has "tens of
millions of users." Apple Music has
shown steady growth
since its launch in 2015. The subscription service
hit 40 million paid users
just over a year ago. It is expected to continue
its increase with the rollout
of the new macOS Catalina. In Catalina, iTunes will be
discontinued and the Music, TV and
Podcast apps will all be separated. Spotify continues to lead
the music subscription
services with 100 million
premium subscribers.
