In parts of the nation, the highs today climbed up into the thirties,... and Seoul and nearby regions were issued heatwave alerts for the second time this summer.
The alerts in these regions will take effect Tuesday morning as the heat is expected to intensify.
The sky will be crystal clear,... with strong sunlight on the Peninsula..
At the same time, Beijing will be blistering hot,... with the daily high going up to 37 degrees Celsius,... while Tokyo will be as cool as Busan and Jeju.
Looking at the temperature readings,...
We have a mild start to our Tuesday.
Seoul, Daegu, Gwangju and Busan beginning at 19 degrees Celsius.
We are expecting to see mercury going up higher than today.
Seoul at 32, while Chuncheon and Daegu mark 33 degrees Celsius.
This heat will be cooled by the overcast sky and the monsoon rain on Wednesday,... which is expected to start from Jeju and the southern areas.
