문 대통령 "평화 한반도 만드는 것이 참전용사에 보답하는 길"

President Moon Jae-in is emphasizing the need to continue working to build permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.
A day ahead of the 69th anniversary of the Korean War, which started on June 25th,... the president held a luncheon at the Blue House on Monday with around 180 war veterans and their families.
There, he said that although open combat has ended,... that does not mean that the war itself has ended.
Here's the president.
"On July 27, 1953, the gunsmoke cleared, but the war was not completely over. I believe that creating a peaceful Korean Peninsula, free from worry about another war, is the true way to repay the sacrifices you made in wartime."
President Moon also highlighted that at the center of the Korean War... was the U.S.
Americans, he said, were the ones who sacrificed the most,... and that both countries will remember their great alliance and together open the road to permanent peace.
