Jeju to get new domestic flight-only airport by 2025: Transport ministry

South Korea's transport ministry says a new airport will open on the southern resort island of Jeju in 2025.
The new airport will only handle domestic flights,... which currently only go through Jeju International Airport.
The government believes the new airport will alleviate inconveniences for domestic travelers during the peak season,... and also serve as a backup for when the other airport is forced to shut due to bad weather.
The ministry estimates around 19 million passengers to use the new airport every year.
