Speakers' Corner: FREE SPEECH INFRINGED

SPEAKERS’ CORNER near Marble Arch in London’s expansive Hyde Park has had its precious freedom infringed, for several years now, by vast hugely-amplified concerts. That Hyde Park is so large, and is serviced by buses and underground 'tube' trains round much of its periphery… really should enable such concerts to be staged further away from Speakers' Corner.

"With my memory now poor, I find it hard to 'hear' my own thoughts at the best of times," confesses long-time orator HUE, "But this particular Sunday, I was stopped by stewards attached to the nearby concert. Me and my videographer, STEVE, felt it necessary to call the Police."
