Activist Anthony Thanasayan today demanded an apology from Women, Family, and Community Development Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her deputy, Hannah Yeoh, for allegedly refusing to meet several disabled activists last week.

However, the ministry has assured disabled activists that the community will not be sidelined.

This comes after members of the Independent Living and Training Centre (ILTC) Malaysia was unable to meet and submit a memorandum to Wan Azizah and Hannah on Thursday.

The ministry also clarified that it had received the memorandum and is reviewing it, adding that it is always open to receiving suggestions and input from any quarters to empower the disabled.
