He was spotted arriving at the Beijing Capital International Airport Tuesday,... and taking a VIP car into the Chinese capital.
The unidentified official was veiled by security staff holding black umbrellas.
Vehicles from the North Korean embassy were also seen surrounding the airport.
To a reporter's question about the trip,... China's Foreign Ministry wouldn't offer any details.
The ministry's spokesperson merely said North Korea and China continue to be on visiting terms as friendly neighbors.
