U.S. Memorial Day parades, events held across the state today

Cities and towns across the U.S. are holding parades, ceremonies, and events for Memorial Day to honor those who died serving the country.
The holiday is observed annually on the last Monday of May and it was recognized as a national holiday by an act of Congress in 1971.
U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted out solemn remembrances of the sacrifices of U.S. troops in honor of Memorial Day from Japan.
