Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha says... it is unacceptable that phone conversations between the leaders of South Korea and the U.S. were leaked,... and that severe punishment will be handed out following the result of an investigation.
Speaking to reporters in Paris on Friday local time,... Kang said the leak was deliberate... and that she feels responsible for the damage incurred on public trust.
This comes after a diplomat at the South Korean Embassy in Washington... leaked details of a phone conversation... between presidents Moon Jae-in and Donald Trump to an opposition lawmaker.
An investigation has been launched into the embassy in question.
