"While the first episode led into the freezing cold of Arjeplog, just north of the Arctic Circle, Episode 2 focuses on heat testing in South Africa. About 15,000 kilometers south of Arjeplog lies the small town of Upington, one of the hottest places in South Africa, in the province of North Cape, South Africa, Botswana and Namibia, where the daily temperatures regularly reach temperatures above 50 degrees in the sun Kalahari Desert is the ideal setting for testing vehicle models on the road to production readiness under extreme conditions.
