Sonu Sood who had decided to make a biopic on PV Siddhu in 2017 declared that he will play the part of ‘Pullela Gopichand’ in the film who is Chief National Coach of Indian Badminton Team.
Sonu on playing Pullela said – ‘He will play the role of Pullela Gopichand and that he’s honored to play this role and is proud to bring it on-screen for the audience. Pullela knows about this and he’s been constantly meeting with him for discussing the role and he’s beyond excited to play this role an feels proud at the same time’.
There are also rumors that Deepika Padukone will play the lead of PV Siddhu in this film and for this Sonu revealed – “The script of the film is ready and is almost of the final stage and soon the official announcements will be made for the cast and crew. The cast of this film will be finalized by the end of the year and if all’s well the shoot of the film will also begin by end of 2019”.
Sonu also added – ‘He along with the writers are in touch with PV Siddhu and her family regarding the scripting of the film, so that authenticity is maintained. And he really hopes that this film is an inspiring one for the audience”.
