Sonu Sood & SpiceJet Join Hands To Bring Back 1,500 Indian Students From Kyrgyzstan

Actor Sonu Sood who helped several migrant labourers to return home amid the COVID-19 lockdown, has now come forward to evacuate 1,500 Indian students stranded in Kyrgyzstan. SpiceJet announced that it has joined hands with Sood to evacuate the students. The airline added that it would be commencing nine such flights in the central Asian country. First flight took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport on July 23 in New Delhi to bring back 135 students to their hometown in Varanasi. Sood expressed his happiness on Twitter when the first flight took off from Kyrgyzstan. Reportedly, as per the government, more than 6,50,000 Indians stranded abroad due to coronavirus pandemic were evacuated till July 14. Earlier, besides hiring buses to send migrant labourers to their home states amid the lockdown, actor Sonu Sood had also mobilised resources to charter flights.
