U.K. Study Finds Cocaine
Contaminated Shrimp A study published in the ‘Environment
International’ recently looked at the exposure
of freshwater shrimp to different micro-pollutants. Samples were pulled from 15 locations
across Suffolk, with all testing positive for cocaine. Compounds such as ketamine and fenuron were
also found to be widespread in the tested shrimp. Dr. Thomas Miller,
via statement Dr. Thomas Miller, lead author of the study,
said these results were expected in urban
areas, but surprising in smaller, rural catchments. Miller is unsure as to how the
