Pennsylvanian born, Pierino Roland Como was born into a family as the seventh son in 1912 and rose to stardom as one of the most popular vocalists in the mid 1940s. Como's post-big-band approach to pop music with a laid back approach led him to sell over one hundred million records worldwide.
