Willie Nelson, an American country singer, was born in Texas in 1933 into a very poor family and was abandoned by his parents at a young age. Left with his grandparents, Willie started to learn the guitar which drove him to the absolute desire to pursue a career in music, despite the challenges it would cause. Such dedication paid off in 1960, when he arrived in Nashville with his guitar and song-writing abilities, having recordings by Patsy Cline and Ray Price. His voice set him apart and he shifted thirty one million albums worldwide.
This footage features seventeen of Nelson's best tracks. Maria Muldaur and Bonnie Raitt perform a couple of songs with Willie and Leon Russell plays throughout.
