Massive Human chain protest despite heavy rain in Tamil Nadu

Tens of thousands of people from all segment of the community marched in the streets of Chennai and beyond on Friday October 25 on a Human chain Protest to voice their serious concern over the plight of their brethren in Sri Lanka.

People formed a 60 km long 'human chain,' to prevail upon the Centre to ensure a ceasefire between the Army and LTTE in Sri Lanka. The general public formed the human chain, from Royapuram in North Chennai upto Chengelpet in Kancheepuram district. Karunanidhi inaugurated the human chain at Royapuram.
